Where: John Grieco’s Lasting Art Studio at the Public Market 153 Railroad Street
What: A Pop-Up Brunch to benefit the Fingerlakes Regional Burn Association- featuring top local chefs from area restaurants creating an array of amazing brunch dishes. Local musicians Daniel King Duo and Candy perform with proceeds going directly to supporting burn survivors as well as Camp Courage- a summer camp for kids recovering from severe burn injuries.

20th Annual Empowering Women Luncheon:
When: Wednesday, October 7th from 12 til 1:30pm
Where: Riverside Convention Center
What: Serving as a major fundraiser for YWCA of Rochester and Monroe County, the theme for this years luncheon is “Serving Strength. Building Futures.” Tennis icon and entrepreneur Venus Williams is the keynote speaker. All monies raised will help YWCA continue to expand critical supportive housing, in-home community care services and its specialized workforce development program.

What: The American Red Cross is in the middle of one of its worst blood donation shortages ever. For only the second time in history, they’ve declared a “national blood crisis,” dropping to a four year summer low. All blood types are needed now- especially type O.
