Neil Blomkamp announced via Twitter that a District 9 sequel is in the works! The project is called District 10, and is also being co-written by Sharlito Copely who also co wrote and starred in District 9.
District 9 was Blomkamp’s breakout directorial debut. The movie was made for $30 million, and made over $210 million globally. It also was nominated for 4 Academy Awards.
